Congressman Pappas’s Statement on the 18th Anniversary of September 11

September 11, 2019

Washington, D.C- Congressman Chris Pappas issued the following statement on the 18th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

"18 years ago, a group of individuals sought to not only to kill thousands of Americans but destroy our spirt as a nation. Although September 11, 2001 will forever remain one of the darkest days in our nation's history, America persevered to model unity, freedom, and hope for the world.

Today we honor the memory of the more than 3,000 victims and recommit ourselves to supporting the fire fighters, first responders, and 9/11 families whose lives were forever changed on that fateful day.

We truly will never forget those we lost, and we must continue to move toward a more perfect union in their memory."
