Congressman Pappas Statement on the Killing of ISIS Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

MANCHESTER, NH - Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) released the following statement after the announcement by President Trump today that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed by U.S. forces:

"The United States and the world are safer now that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead," said Congressman Chris Pappas. "I am grateful for the dedicated work of our military and intelligence personnel who took out this terrorist leader. Thankfully, none were harmed in this heroic raid. I also commend the President for making this call and ordering the mission. We must continue to seek justice for the victims of the reign of terror ISIS unleashed. We must continue to work with our partners to end the threat ISIS poses to the region and American national security interests."
