Congressman Pappas Supports Legislation to Provide Humanitarian Assistance at the Border
Washington D.C.- Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) issued the following statement after the House passed H.R. 3401, which provides $4.5 billion in emergency funding to address the humanitarian crisis at the border. Significant funding priorities include legal assistance, food, water, medical services, and support for unaccompanied children.
"The horrific, inhumane conditions that children are being subjected to at the border continue to worsen by the day," said Congressman Pappas. "No child should be left without life's basic necessities, especially those here who are fleeing conflict and extreme poverty. I urge my colleagues in the Senate to put politics aside and take up this legislation to ensure these children receive the care they need.
