On June 24, Representative Chris Pappas (NH-01) held a roundtable with Eric Golnick, CEO of VFR Healthcare, and VFR Healthcare staff to discuss a newly organized therapy group for LGBTQIA veterans and first responders, and the unique issues LGBTQIA veterans and first responders face.
"For too long LGBTQ+ veterans haven't had services tailored to meet their needs," said Congressman Chris Pappas. "LGBTQ+ veterans and first responders face unique challenges in their work, and Eric and his team at VFR Healthcare are helping to create a solution for that. I was glad to learn more about how this program is helping Granite Staters and about VFR Healthcare's plans to expand this program nationally."
"As a New Hampshire vet, and as an LGBT vet myself, and I served during Don't Ask Don't Tell..." said Eric Golnick, CEO of VFR Healthcare. "This is something that I think we can bring. We're a New Hampshire company, we're going to create it here. We want to make sure we're doing it right, with the VA, and we're partnering and we're doing it right with some of the first responder agencies, and then we want to expand it nationally. This is a program we actually think we want to expand nationally, that we're able to help as many people as we can, but New Hampshire is where we think we can have the most effect."
