Pappas Statement on NH Libertarian Party Social Media Posts

Today Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) released the following statement in response to social media posts that call for political assassinations:

"Rhetoric calling for political assassination has no place in New Hampshire or our country — something we should all be able to agree on regardless of our political beliefs. We work out our differences through the democratic process where we engage in civil debate and seek common ground whenever possible.

“I urge New Hampshire leaders to condemn the threats and call on social media platforms to enforce terms of use. Our citizen-led government is a model for the nation, and we must ensure everyone can engage in democracy without fear of intimidation or violence."
