Pappas Statement on Opening New Corridors for Humanitarian Aid in Gaza
Today Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) released the following statement on opening new corridors for humanitarian aid in Gaza:
“Since the brutal attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023, I have never wavered in my support for our steadfast democratic ally and the need for security, stability, and peace in the region. I continue to urge a ceasefire deal that ensures the return of every hostage taken by Hamas and maximizes the delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza. Time is of the essence. I am horrified by reports of famine and widespread starvation in Gaza. Safe zones must be expanded to ensure adequate aid deliveries can be made, and I support the announcement of new airdrops and the opening of new humanitarian corridors. I continue to urge the Trump Administration and all parties involved in the distribution of aid to work together to use every tool to ensure humanitarian assistance can reach civilians who desperately need it.”
