Pappas Tours Wolfeboro Police Facility Construction, Made Possible by Federal Dollars Secured by His Community Project Funding

April 26, 2024

Today, Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) visited Wolfeboro Police Department to discuss the federal funding secured through his Community Project Funding Program to update Wolfeboro Police Department’s facilities and take a tour of the construction.

“Every day, New Hampshire law enforcement and first responders are on the frontlines in our communities, responding to emergencies and keeping Granite Staters safe,” said Congressman Pappas. “Through our community-driven process, I secured $1 million in federal funds to help expand Wolfeboro Police Department facilities to support their critical work and ensure they have the resources to fully meet the needs of the local community. I’ll continue working alongside law enforcement officers and first responders to strengthen public safety and keep our communities safe.”

In March, Pappas announced funding he secured for fifteen community projects across New Hampshire’s First District. The projects will invest in New Hampshire’s water and sewer infrastructure, support the development of new housing, help open a child care facility, and provide for essential public safety operations. This included $1,000,000 for the Town of Wolfeboro to expand the existing Wolfeboro Police Department, ensuring it can fully meet the needs of the local community, law enforcement, and first responders.
