Pappas Votes for Bipartisan Resolution In Support of Israel, Denouncing Hamas

October 27, 2023

This week, Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) voted with Republicans and Democrats to support H.Res.771, a resolution standing with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists. Pappas helped introduce this bipartisan resolution earlier this month.

“The world watched in horror on October 7th as Hamas terrorists brutalized, murdered, and kidnapped innocent Israeli civilians in a coordinated attack,” said Congressman Pappas. “The loss of life, which now includes over 30 Americans, was unthinkable and unprecedented. This kind of hate-fueled brutality cannot go unanswered. It is important that the House take this step to show to the world that we stand with Israel and condemn terrorism and extremism in the strongest possible terms. I remain committed to standing with our ally and reaffirming the United States commitment to Israeli security and right to self-defense.”

Background:

Pappas helped introduce this resolution in the House on October 10th.

Pappas has consistently supported funding for U.S.-Israel defense cooperation programs, including the Iron Dome system, efforts to improve detection of terrorist tunnels, and initiatives to develop anti-drone capabilities.
