Rep. Pappas’s Statement on the Supreme Court Ruling to Weaken ACA Contraceptive Coverage

Manchester, NH- Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) issued the following statement after the Supreme Court ruled to weaken the Affordable Care Act by allowing private employers to opt out of providing contraceptive coverage for their employees:

"Today's decision is just another example of this Administration's relentless effort to undermine access to affordable health care, and thousands of people could lose contraceptive coverage as a result," said Congressman Pappas. "An employer's personal beliefs should not determine whether a worker can access contraception. Although today's decision was disappointing, I remain committed to fighting to strengthen the ACA, expand access to care, and lower the cost of coverage and prescriptions for Granite Staters."
