Today Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01), a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, joined the groundbreaking ceremony for Manchester VA Medical Center’s new Women’s Health Clinic. The new facility will address privacy and care concerns for women veterans at Manchester VA Medical Center by dedicating a larger space, more rooms, and direct entrance to the clinic.

Congressman Pappas at Rochester Child Care Center’s Earth Day celebration

Today, Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) visited Rochester Child Care Center to take part in their Earth Day celebration. Pappas was joined by Cora-Lynn Hoppe, Executive Director of the Rochester Child Care Center, and Maria Finnegan, Director of Climate and Health Initiative for Caregivers and Kids, as well as Center staff and families. The event featured nature crafts, food, and learning activities aimed to connect kids with the natural world and emphasize the role they can play in protecting our planet.

The New Hampshire delegation celebrated $43,510,000 in federal funding from the Inflation Reduction Act to help lower energy costs for Granite Staters by delivering affordable solar to low-income households. The funding comes from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund’s Solar for All grant program.

This week Representatives Chris Pappas (NH-01) and Harriet Hageman (WY-AL) joined Senators Maggie Hassan (NH) and Cynthia Lummis (WY) to introduce the bicameral, bipartisan Postal Operations Stay Timely and Local (POSTAL) Act, which would prohibit the United States Postal Service (USPS) from consolidating, closing, or downgrading a processing and distribution center if it would leave a state without one or negatively impact mail delivery across a state.
