Yesterday Congressman Chris Pappas’s (NH-01) Rural Small Business Resilience Act passed the House. Pappas introduced this legislation earlier this year alongside Representatives Kelly Morrison (MN-03), Aaron Bean (FL-04), and Troy Downing (MT-02). If enacted into law, this legislation will improve access to disaster assistance for rural small businesses.

Led through the campus by Huot Director David Warrender, Pappas met with instructors from a variety of programs offered there. Following the hour-long tour, Pappas spoke with Lakes Region Community College President Patrick Cate and representatives from the Taylor Community in a meeting closed to the media.

PORTSMOUTH — U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas met with city officials Wednesday to talk about what he sees as missteps by the Trump administration that are affecting federal funding for local communities.

The Democratic 1st District congressman told city officials that “as so much pressure is being put on local taxpayers, on local leadership, we need to make sure the federal government is a good partner that you can count on.”

Today Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) met with New Hampshire’s First District’s 2024 Congressional App Challenge winners, Nicholas Gladu, Daniel Sabalakov, Joshua Kelly, and John Tobin of Portsmouth High School, and presented them with an award. This team of students created an app program, titled “Clarity Extension”, designed to make resources on the internet more accessible.
