On Tuesday, July 27th Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01), Co-Chair of the bipartisan House Small Business Caucus, hosted a jobs and workforce resource fair to share information about the state and federal opportunities available for employers and workers in the Granite State. This virtual and telephone event drew over 5,000 Granite Staters from throughout the First District to learn more about employment opportunities, education, and apprenticeships. The panelists also took several questions from constituents submitted online.

Today, U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Representatives Annie Kuster (NH-02) and Chris Pappas (NH-01) announced that New Hampshire will receive nearly $2 million to support COVID-19 testing and mitigation efforts. Specifically, $1.47 million will go towards COVID detection and mitigation in prison facilities and $449,760 will go towards populations experiencing homelessness.

Today, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, and U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Representatives Annie Kuster (NH-02) and Chris Pappas (NH-01) announced that the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Small Community Air Service Development Program (SCASDP) will award Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) $450,000 to support marketing for new routes available through Spirit Airlines, which will start in the fall. Spirit Airlines is the first airline added to the MHT hub since 2004.

Today, U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Representatives Annie Kuster (NH-02) and Chris Pappas (NH-01) announced that New Hampshire small rural hospitals will receive $3,100,512 to bolster COVID-19 testing and mitigation. Specifically, the funding was allocated through the American Rescue Plan and awarded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP).

WASHINGTON, DC - Infrastructure legislation that Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) helped craft as a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure has passed the House. The legislation contains several New Hampshire priorities Pappas fought for as a member of the Committee, including provisions to reimagine active transportation, fund commuter rail, and address PFAS contamination.
