Washington, D.C.– Today, Congressman Chris Pappas announced that Daniel Ethridge, a senior at Bedford High School, has won the 2019 Congressional App Challenge for New Hampshire's First Congressional District.

MANCHESTER, NH - Today in Manchester, Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) was joined by New Hampshire Department of Transportation Commissioner Victoria Sheehan, Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig, and other transportation officials and stakeholders to discuss the bipartisan effort he led in the House to protect nearly $40 million in federal highway infrastructure funding from being rescinded from New Hampshire.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01), who serves as the Chair of Oversight and Investigations for the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, introduced legislation with Congressman Max Rose (NY-11), a combat veteran, to reform the VA's debt collection process. The introduction of this bill follows an alarming hearing revealing the gross inefficiencies in the VA and the financial hardship such issues have created for veterans.

"Today I was pleased to vote for a Continuing Resolution that will not only keep our government open but safeguards critical infrastructure spending for New Hampshire, fully funds life-saving health programs, and provides a pay raise for our brave men and women in uniform," said Congressman Pappas. "Although this legislation will avoid another catastrophic government shutdown, I call on my Senate colleagues to advance long-term appropriations bills that advance the priorities of the American people and give our communities the certainty they need."
