Today Congressman Chris Pappas (D-NH) passed an amendment to a Fiscal Year 2021 appropriations package designating funding at the NIH Office of the Director for a joint program with Israel to support research and development of effective treatments and responses to COVID-19. The amendment was co-sponsored by Congressmen Lance Gooden (R-TX), David Kustoff (R-TN), and Tom Suozzi (D-NY).

Today, the House of Representatives approved an amendment authored by Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) to a critical FY 2021 appropriations package to designate $10 million in Department of Justice grant funding to help Granite State police departments cover the cost of earning or renewing accreditation.

This funding will help small and mid-sized law enforcement agencies to update their standards and best practices to strengthen accountability, enhance community trust, and improve operational effectiveness.

This week, Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) is participating in Census PUSH WEEK to promote the 2020 Census and is calling on every Granite Stater to complete their census and be counted. Required by the Constitution, the census is conducted every decade and plays a crucial role in how federal resources and funding is distributed across our country.

New Hampshire has a 62.5% response rate, but Pappas is encouraging his constituents to raise that number.
