Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) released the following statement after President Trump announced that he would extend the mobilization of National Guard members aiding in the COVID-19 response:
Today, Congressman Chris Pappas, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) announced a $356,046 Low or No Emission Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to replace the three oldest vehicles in the Nashua Transit System's fleet – two 2009 diesel vans and one 1999 gasoline-powered supervisor vehicle – with two new hybrid electric gasoline vans and one fully electric car and electric charging station. These new vehicles will reduce emissions from the city's fixed route fleet while also increasing fuel efficiency.

MANCHESTER, NH - Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) released the following statement after it was reported that President Trump would end National Guard deployments of members deployed to assist with COVID-19 response just days before they would qualify for post-9/11 GI Bill benefits.
Today Representatives Chris Pappas (NH-01) and Annie Kuster (NH-02) along with their Senate colleagues Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) sent a letter to the Secretary Steven Mnuchin calling on the Treasury to make adjustments to the Payroll Protection Program (PPP) so that it can more effectively serve the needs of Granite State small businesses.
Legislation would provide an estimated $1.5 billion to New Hampshire cities, towns and counties to sustain essential services, and $3.5 billion to the state government. It also includes nearly $30 million for planning, preparation, and resilience of state elections.
