Washington, D.C. - Congressman Chris Pappas, Co-Chair of the LGBTQ Equality Caucus and the first LGBTQ member of Congress from New Hampshire, took to the House floor to speak on the introduction of the bipartisan Equality Act. This landmark legislation amends existing civil right law to provide LGBTQ Americans with the same protections as other Americans in employment, housing, education, and public accommodations.

Washington. D.C. - Today Congressman Chris Pappas joined a bipartisan majority in the House to pass a resolution that would express the sense of Congress that the Mueller report should be made available to the public and Congress upon its conclusion.
Washington, D.C. – Today the Trump Administration released its budget request for Fiscal Year 2020. The proposal totals a record-high $4.75 trillion in spending while cutting key programs and services that are essential for millions of Americans. One bright spot in the budget is the sustained funding for state and local assistance to combat the opioid crisis.
Washington, D.C. - Today Congressman Chris Pappas, a co-sponsor of H.R. 1, voted to pass the sweeping democracy reform legislation that would fix our broken campaign finance system, end the culture of corruption in Washington, and protect and expand the right to vote. The President declared an emergency to obtain wall funding beyond the $1.4 billion Congress already approved for border security. This unprecedented declaration would divert billions from high-priority military construction projects and drug interdiction efforts to pay for an unpopular southern border wall.
