Today, the New Hampshire delegation helped announce a $236,000 grant to the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services to protect the health of beachgoers. The funding will support water quality monitoring and public notification programs for beaches. This grant helps fund programs to ensure that beachgoers know when our coastal waters are safe for swimming and recreation.

MADISON — U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas toured a Mount Washington Valley Habitat for Humanity home construction project in Eidelweiss on Thursday morning, and prior to that, he stopped in at The Way Station in North Conway.

The non-profit resource center at 15 Grove St. in North Conway is run out of the Lutheran Church of the Nativity. It serves the valley’s housing-insecure and homeless population.

Ahead of the one-year anniversary of the Honoring Our PACT Act being signed into law, Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01), a member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs and Ranking Member of the Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs Subcommittee, launched an outreach effort to encourage New Hampshire veterans to submit a claim under the PACT Act and remind them they can file by August 9 to be eligible to receive retroactive benefits.
